Fantail Goldfish

Fantail goldfish are one of the many types of goldfish that are referred to as fancy goldfish. The fantail has an egg shaped body with an either long or short double tail fin.Physically they are a hardy fish, quite beautiful as they were bred for showing and they are enjoyable and relaxing to watch. The fantail goldfish makes a good choice for the beginner and their tolerance of cold water makes them a good choice for outdoor pond dwelling as well. Their many colors can include calico, red and red and white. The Fantail can grow to an average size of five inches and may live up to ten years with proper care. Fantails like to school so keeping more than one of them in your tank is advisable.
