The Comet Goldfish

The Comet goldfish is popular among neophyte goldfish fanatics as it is hardy, adaptable and requires little care to do well. It will flourish in outdoor ponds as well as indoor freshwater tanks. As a mature adult,it can sometimes reach a length of aproximately 14 inches.
Comet goldfish lay eggs and will breed easily under the right conditions.

The Comet is characterized by a long slender body shape and a long and slender single tail fin. These two characteristics afford the Comet a form that is very appealing to the eye. Combined with their speed, they remind one of a comet. As they are lively and swift swimmers, it is recommended that their tank be covered so they cannot leap out.
